Clocking The Badge (2026)

Yeah. They think they’re watching, but I’m the one with the binoculars. Clocking the badge, counting the minutes between their rounds. You can’t pin a shadow, homie.

I’m tucked in the cut where the streetlights die, watching the cruisers roll slowly on by. Blue lights flicker like a strobe in the haze, another night lost in this dangerous maze. I got the scanner on low, frequencies tuned to the frequency of my foes. Every turn they take, every alley they block, I’m three steps ahead, looking at the clock. The badge is a burden they wear like a crown, but I’m the king of the grid in this ghost-bitten town.

Clocking the badge, I’m checking the time, weaving through shadows to commit the crime. They circle the block but I’m already gone, fading to vapor before the dawn. It’s a cat and mouse, but the mouse has the key, you’ll never put a shackle on the soul of me.

Rubber meets the asphalt, quiet and slick, my getaway plan is a magician’s trick. They’re running the plates, they’re checking the file, but I’ve been invisible for quite a long while. No panic in my pulse, no sweat on my brow, I’m untouchable here, I’m untouchable now. They stop at the light, I’m watching them wait, while I slip through the cracks of this heavy-duty gate. Keep the patrol consistent, keep the route the same, I’m the ghost in the machine playing a different game.

Tick-tock. Yeah. They’re still passing by. Don’t they know I’m already on the other side? Ghost mode. Can’t catch what you can’t see.
